THE STORY OF LAS - ART STUDIO

Founded in 2017

My story is a lot like many other artists. I was an avid painter in my high school years, and went on to minor in Fine Art & Art History at the University of Guelph. Thinking I would never be able to fully devote my time and skills as an artist to make a living, my career path led me down an entirely different route.

My journey as an artist started many years later when a friend purchased a new home and asked me to paint her two paintings for her living room. I was thrilled to have that feeling of joy come back. There is nothing like getting lost in the movement of painting for me.

After these paintings were completed and friends saw them, more paintings were requested. It just never stopped from those two initial paintings. I will always be thankful to my dear friend for encouraging me to pick up my paint brushes and pallet knives again.

Over the last few years, I feel like my style has evolved into knowing when you see a painting, that it is mine. My style will likely continue to evolve as I continue on my artistic journey. I hope you enjoy my works as you follow along.
